How does one even begin to honor and thank those that are willing to sacrifice their lives for their country…my country.
How do you show sufficient gratitude to those that protect my family… all the while being away from theirs?
How can I possibly say thanks to those that have actually laid down their lives for me and my children… while leaving their children without a father or mother?
Are there words big enough to convey the deep and abiding respect I have for our military men and women?
Probably not.
But in my own simple and humble way I just want to say…
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Beautiful picture. Thank you for posting today!
I agree, I’m deeply appreciative not just on days like today. Mr Chiots and I justed watched Pacific and it was so good, really makes you thankful.
If words are not sufficient you can do something – donate time or efforts to those you are indebted to.
🙂
The church that I attended as a child was very good about noting events such as this and ensuring that they were treated with respect and thoughtfulness. I miss that – days such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day and even September 11 deserve to have a moment of silence and prayer for the events that created these memoriams.
