Many of us have 4-legged friends around our homes. Some of them keep us company in the house, while others are outside in the yard, barns or pastures hanging out.

The 4-legged friends that I have around our (Sincerely, Emily) house are cats. Cats, cats, cats.
For now, cats are all we have for four-legged company. I am glad they are around (even though they sleep the day and night away)

Do you have 4-legged friends around your house?
*2-legged friends to follow on a Sunday soon.

We have 2 4-legged friends, one dog and one cat. I’d like to have another cat but our current tuxedo feline has made it clear that he is cat enough for our household. My kitchen companion is Karl, a dachshund. He loves “helping” in the kitchen, which means keeping the floor clean of anything that may get dropped.
There are also 2 squirrels that frequent our backyard, although Karl hates them. They love using our fence as a highway-they’re fun to watch.
adairpete – All of your 4-legged tuxedo and dachshund sound wonderful. Our cats seem a lot more interested in what is happening in the kitchen these days then ever before. It is nice that your dachshund actually help, my cats might sniff things, but don’t clean up. Squirrels, love you description of using the fence as a highway. They certainly are fun to watch, but I am less then thrilled when they help themselves to our fruit trees.
4 legged indeed but sometimes “friends” is stretching the boundaries a little
. Bezial is a nervous mass of neurosis and Earl is feral and bordering on wild. Combine the 2 and you have the dog version of “The Odd Couple” in our house. Funnily enough Steve and I are the couple version of the Odd Couple as well!
The odd couple in deed. I love how much personality each 4-legged friend has. At last Earl and Bezial get a long, right? And so do you and Steve! Two of our cats are litter mates and have never really been close at all. If they are on the same bed, they are never close to each other and there are often jealous looks and stare downs for which gets the prime snuggle spot at night. It sometime ends in a hissy spitting match and then they both leave. Never a fight luckily.
