The summer sheep pasture is looking a little bleak this year due to the stresses of the drought, so we have decided to run temporary fencing up around our house!
The sheep are happy to have the grass up by the house. It got a little wild this summer while my weed-whip was out of commission, and I even let them eat down the rest of the flower beds and the last of my kale. This is allowing us to rest the last of the summer grass for the next week or two while it finishes the bulk of it’s growth for the year.
Are you making adjustments to your livestock or pets, now that the season is winding down?

I mentioned this over on the NDIN Facebook page, but I wish I could borrow your sheep to come nibble on some of the grasses around my house. What a great idea. Free lawnmower – no noise, , free food for them, their emissions are beneficial and their fun to watch. I jokingly keep saying that I am going to rent a few goats from someone and have them work on the weeds, but the HOA wouldn’t like that at all.
Your sheep are beautiful!
