Last week I talked about homemade gifts for the holiday season. It just so happens that my oldest son is getting married on New Year’s Eve. I have wracked my brain for something unique and handmade as a wedding gift.
I have already got them a set of their dishes but I want something more personal but just as useful.
Here is my idea…
After being married almost 27 years I figured maybe hubby and I might have some pearls of wisdom we could pass on to the young soon-to-be-married couple.
I have decided to take all my best advice and make it into a pretty little book that I’ll have printed to give them on their wedding day.
This is where you all come in!
I figure I am not the only one that has something constructive to say making a relationship work through the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, you know the ups and downs of staying together through the years!
I am going to compile the best advice I get here and on my own blog and add it to the book.
The only catch is that I just thought of it and I will need to compile it quickly and get it sent off to be printed.
So go ahead and lay it on me…what is some of your very best advise that either you have learned from your marriage/relationship?
Something that you wish someone had told you back at the very beginning!
And thanks…I know we have some the wisest readers on the web so I can’t wait to hear what you have to share!
