Welcome to our new home! We’ve made a few changes and hope this new home will be as welcoming to our readers from “Women Not Dabbling in Normal” as we welcome new readers to “Not Dabbling in Normal.”
We’ve lost a few writers whom we will miss and wish them luck in their personal endeavors. We have added some new writers and opened some spots for guest writers. These new writers include men, hence the title change. When we first started it was all women writers, but as we’ve lost and replaced writers its occurred to us that we were missing an important perspective in not normal living by not including the male voice. It was never intentional to keep that voice out either, so we’re making the necessary changes.
Let me say that we’ve all missed writing for this project and interacting with our community of readers. We’re glad to be back and in our new home. We look forward to announcing new projects, sharing ideas, and gaining knowledge. Thank you for following us here and keeping in touch. We value all of our readers and the virtual community that has been built around this project.
The very best for your new endevour. I loved the last site and I’m sure this will be even better and bigger. Can wait to see the first posts come up. Margaret
I’m looking forward to you all being back and a great big welcome to the new writers!!
Congrats! I’m excited about the new voices. But I think it’d be cool if you linked the old site in the sidebar or something so new folks could also go back and take advantage of all the great resources and info that’s already been posted.
Wishing you all success in the new “home”! Can’t wait to see all that you do here!
i’ll still be reading!
Welcome back!
Will the archive stay in place at the old blog site? I bookmarked things that I will want to save as files if they are going to disappear. The new blog name is more inclusive, but the body of work at the old site should not be lost.
Looking forward to seeing what new ‘non-normal’ is in store! Glad to have you all back and anticipating ‘meeting’ the new writers.
I’m not really sure the net or the self-sufficiency movement is lacking voices of men, but I’ll keep reading.
Thanks everyone for the welcome back! For now the “old” blog is staying up so your bookmarks are safe. We are in the process of migrating all those posts over here as well, in order to keep the archives in place. We most don’t want to lose any of that content, either. Its all so very good, if I do say so myself
Glad you’re back, an glad to hear the archives will still be accessible.
